The group wakes up bright and early for another morning swim practice at the American University swimming pool. The main set was 60x25’s on the minute and were all out sprint. When we finish up with swim practice we shower and get ready to go out in the city. The group was feeling exhausted from the intense swim practices and we all decided that we need some rest before the afternoon practice. We all head back to the hotel and get some sleep. A few people go and grab a bite to eat at the Cosi restaurant right down the street. After a nap and some lunch, we head back to the pool for yet another swim practice. Friday night was the basketball game and everybody was excited to go see it. The Washington Wizards and the Orlando Magic played an awesome game and the end result was the Wizards defeating the Magic 112-111. The game was back and forth the entire time and would not have been as loud if it were not for the obnoxious Magic fan in the row right above us. The crowd was crazy and it was definitely one of the most exciting destinations that we visited on this year’s trip. The night seemed like it would be over but the girls insisted we go to the Cosi restaurant down the street from the hotel again. Our funny and very nice waiter Cornell made everybody laugh the entire time we were there and got into a little trouble from his boss for being too nice to us. We ordered some smoothies and cookies and headed back to the hotel for some much-needed sleep for practice bright and early in the morning.
